For language learners and teachers there is much to be gained from building links with businesses and exploring how language and cultural skills are used in the workplace. Business Language Champions

Business Language ChampionsRegional Language Network London and Comenius London are promoting and supporting Business Language Champions in the capital - businesses who are working with schools or colleges on a range of language-related activities. Education Business Partnerships

The National Education Business Partnership Network brings together educational and business organisations and aims to develop and promote sustained links for the benefit of students, local schools and colleges.

Many London Education Business Partnerships (EBPs) are already working with school and college language departments to develop links with business. To find out if there are businesses in your area with an interest in languages and partnership activities go your local London EBP.

Language work placement toolkit

Language work placement toolkitThe Language work placement toolkit allows people on work placements in the UK or abroad to record the development of international communication skills which will help them in their future careers, and to help those who are working with them to prepare for the placement.

The flexible toolkit is available free in hardcopy and CD format and to download from CILT's website.
