About the Regional Language Network London

Who we are

Regional Language Network London (RLN London) is funded by the London Development Agency to promote language and cultural skills in the capital. Our mission is to:

  • turn existing language skills into tangible benefits for people and business
  • support the acquisition of new language skills for the current and future workforce
  • ensure that London derives greater economic and cultural benefits and improves its status as a truly multicultural, global capital.

Why we do it

We believe that the motivation and opportunities are clear. With the 2012 Games as a key driver, we need to encourage businesses and individuals to develop their skills so that they can communicate effectively with each other and the rest of the world. Right now, throughout the Games, and beyond.

How we do it

  • We create networks by improving connections between employers, language professionals, the education sector, community organisations, employers' bodies and other London organisations
  • We provide information and advice on languages and cultural skills for the workplace
  • We promote best practice and opportunities for business improvement through our project activity.
